INVENTORY SPECIALIST

CONTRACT TO HIRE: 1ST SHIFT

WAGE: SUBMIT REQUIREMENT WITH RESUME

Job Description

This position is responsible for maintaining computerized records of merchandise inventory management support (sku based retail industry), cycle counts, controls, audits, physical inventory, transfers specifically to support computer systems and processes for inventory controls and product level.

Qualifications

Education: Associates/Bachelor’s Degree - Business Administration, Management Information Systems, and Information Technology related

Experience: 1-3 years in computer fields or 2 - 6 yrs. related job experience such as retail, and inventory control management.

Technical Requirements: Advanced computer skills (Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools) Advanced knowledge specifically with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet formulas, Vlookup, function, and pivot tables. Ability to create on demand reports utilizing database queries (Query400 or Sequel BI tool), data mining techniques. Sound data entry and 10 key skills

Job Duties

Maintains a computerized inventory system

Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value material, equipment, and merchandise. Maintains an accurate inventory count of ready to issue and ready to return to vendor items by performing daily cycle counts and automated inventory transactions and adjustments as necessary

Oversee the annual physical inventory process at store level and at the DC.

Process and analyze the transfers from store to store and store to DC.

Provides audit reports, ensures audit standards are adhered too

Establishes and maintains good working relationships with store associates, buyers and vendors.

Accurately maintains, updates, verifies computer records of all products received and on hand inventory at retail store and DC level on a daily basis or as needed.

With management oversight provide or participates scheduling, perform and process annual physical inventory at store level (travel required and possibly an overnight stay) and at the DC

Provides daily and weekly inventory reports as requested. This includes creating or updating Excel spreadsheets.

Analyzes vendor problems at the product level

Other duties as assigned.

Extensive inventory count, audit control problem solving, customer support and problem solving skills

Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions, corporate correspondence and email.

Skill in organizing work efficiently and ability to work with minimum supervision, Good organization

Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, significant ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail, numbers and analyze data.

Strong knowledge of inventory control and audit procedures
