The Overnight Security position will be working from 11pm-7am and will be responsible for all hourly security checks of all Steamboat Ski & Resort Co., properties. Applicants must have previous overnight experience with previous security experience preferred.

Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
Will be in company vehicle (trucks and snowmobile) 50% of time in varying terrain and conditions
Responsible for hourly security checks of all Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation properties
Respond to fire and or burglar alarms as necessary
Deal with guests and other individuals under varying circumstances
May be required to transport guests in shuttle van
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Other duties, as assigned

Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:
High School diploma or GED
Previous security experience preferred
Must have previous employment experience of working an overnight/graveyard shift
Must be self-motivated to work partially unsupervised during graveyard shift (11pm-7am)
Read and write legibly and comprehend security reports
Adhere to all safety policies
Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards

Physical Requirements:
Must be minimum 21 years of age
Stand and walk for long periods of time often in harsh weather conditions
Lift approximately 50 pounds on a recurring basis. (Coin, Ice melt).
Drive light pick-up.
Must have valid driver’s license and meet insurability standards
Communicate in English (written and verbal)

Miscellaneous information:
This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
Will work the overnight shift from 11pm to 7am

Pursuant to county and/or state orders and company policies, every employee is required to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, wear a mask per current guidelines, self-report and call in immediately and stay home if sick and assist with sanitizing and disinfecting work areas. Employees must follow all resort mitigation plans and protocols, which can be found posted on resort buildings and on Beekeeper

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base hourly pay range: $17.00 per hour
