Job Description
RemoteProject Mgmt (Primary)Be able to work with key contacts in application, business, security relating to the upgrading of the server's operating system and/or softwareCoordinate meetings to determine the best actions to take relating to the upgrades, determine outage windows, backout plans, testing plans and determine best timing for implementing the changeBe able to push for consistency relating to domain security, software/OS build standards, documentation requirementsTechnical (Secondary)Very good understanding of the various versions of the Windows operating systems, domain security and the services that run on them, including IIS, FTP, Web servicesGood understanding of Microsoft SQL serverGood understanding of networking concepts, application ports and firewall rules, DNS, DHCP, Active DirectoryBeen involved in operating system/application upgrade projects in previous rolesFamiliar with Azure/AWS cloud based server/service offeringsWorkPlanning the upgrades relating to Windows 2012 to Windows 2019, including considerations relating to the installed softwareSQL upgradesImplementation of new serversGathering requirementsDetermining if cloud based service/local service is requiredCentralizing documentationSoftware repositoriesContacts Local/VendorStartup/Shutdown processesFile Cleanups/Share - DFS movesRogue Server review/addition to NPO scopeIdentification within the environmentExistenceOwnersExisting contractsRestrictions/Benefits Please share the copy of resume at [emailprotected]Additional Information
