  • The senior IT consultant manages the project work as defined by the government
  • Leads medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects
  • Provides highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems
  • The senior consultant also manages the fact-finding, analysis and development of hypothesis/conclusions, production of final reports and delivery of presentations
  • Responsible for ensuring that the project delivers to government expectations on time and to budget
  • Performs as a consultant in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies
  • Provides highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing problems
  • Performs elaborate analyses and studies
  • Prepares reports and gives presentations
#AJ2021Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree and fourteen (14) years' relevant experience or a high school diploma and eighteen (18) years' relevant experience.
  • Must have experience with Ciena products and an understanding of SONET/SDH.
  • Must have Security+, CASP, or CISSP certification.
  • Design, test and implement Global telecommunications architecture using various transport networks.
  • Demonstrated experience performing elaborate analyses and studies; preparing reports and giving presentations
  • Active TS/SCI with poly clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience leading medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing the fact-finding, analysis, and development of hypothesis/conclusions, production of final reports and delivery of presentations
  • Demonstrated responsibility for ensuring that the project delivers to government expectations on time and to budget; manage the project work as defined by the government
  • Strong working knowledge of TDM and DWDM networking and test equipment
  • Demonstrated performance as a consultant in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience providing highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing and IT problems
  • Experience with Cisco, and Juniper products, ATM, Linux, scripting, and VMware is a plus.
  • Experience with optical equipment from Ciena, Cisco, Infinera, Nokia
  • Experience with major service providers ATT, Nextel, Verizon
  • Experience with SONET, OTN, Long Haul and Ultra Long Haul
  • Advanced product certifications e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE.
