Only U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. can be considered as W2 candidates.Job Title: Infrastructure ArchitectStart Date: 10/4/2021End Date: 6/30/2022Location: Des Moines, IA 50319and applications as well as the evaluation and modification of hundreds of system-to-system interfaces.The department is seeking an Enterprise Architect role to operate at the program management level of the team to design and implement complex computer systems and offer infrastructure services. This position will also address any issues related to infrastructure security, performance or regulatory compliance. In addition, the infrastructure architect will analyze and document the "as-is" infrastructure environment and define an implementation approach for migrating business processes and technology systems to the future-state enterprise infrastructure platform. Responsibilities during the initiation phase include:•Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Framework and the Architecture Development Method (ADM)•Participate in creating the Strategic Technology Roadmap, utilizing the concepts of cloud and hybrid cloud computing, server virtualization and virtual networks•Design and document future state infrastructure technologies, including any associated networking, security rules or technical constraints•Using Unified Markup Language (UML) to deliver baseline and target infrastructure architectures, including component diagrams, Systems diagrams, deployment diagrams and network diagrams•Serve as Medicaid Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) while working with a Systems Integrator to develop the approach for phased migration activities, including the remediation of any associated infrastructure impacts•Participate in the RFI/RFP process for systems module selection•Participate in the procurement process to select a Systems Integrator to execute the DDI phaseA successful candidate for this role is expected to possess the following skills and experience:•Extensive experience designing infrastructure architectures based on cloud and hybrid cloud architectures•Extensive experience with cloud vendors, including Microsoft Azure, and the implementation of cloud services•Extensive understanding of infrastructure security, management and configuration best practices•Extensive understanding of microservices technologies, systems integration points and associated benefits•An understanding of Unified Markup Language (UML) and other techniques for documenting technology systems•In-depth experience with the software development lifecycles and software development methodologies - including DevOps and CI/CD•Experience delivering results on systems integration projects involving business transformation•Experience delivering in an Agile / iterative delivery environment, including a working knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)•Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of personalities and work styles•Ability to break down complex tasks into actionable work items•Ability to work independently and communicate effectively Benefits:
