As CoStar's next Software Engineering Manager, you will have a direct impact on highly visible CoStar Suite web applications that touch millions of users. You continuously lean emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve CoStar's software products. We are searching for an exceptional Software Engineer Manager in Washington DC to support CoStar's software products. RESPONSIBILITIES • Work directly with senior leaders in our Product Design and Research organizations to design applications that amaze your customers. • Use your experience to identify the best architecture and technologies to meet product requirements. • Lead a team of software developers in building applications and platforms using the modern JavaScript frameworks like React, NodeJS and Microsoft Technologies (.NET and SQL Server) • Work with your QA resources to ensure that the software you deliver is of the highest quality. (Our customers are not beta testers.) • Take complete ownership of product launch activities and coordinate closely with DevOps to monitor application performance and availability. • Continue monitor application metrics to ensure the expected results are being achieved. • Make your team and those around you better at what they do by (1) hiring and developing the absolute best (10X) developers, (2) setting clear team objectives and (3) providing concise, timely and actionable guidance to team members. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's Degree • A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products that scale as needed and provide response times that can be measured in milliseconds • Full stack development experience • Team leadership experience • Experience with C#, MVC, JavaScript (one or more of modern frameworks including React, Angular or Knockout), HTML/CSS, data access technologies and SQL Server • High proficiency in Agile development and testing methodologies (including test automation) CoStar Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer; we maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing
