IT Asset Manager- Senior 6 month contact- will extend 100% Remote Knowledge:

  • Progressive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area, in this case, hardware and software IT asset management.
  • General knowledge of department/business lines, client's system operations, policies, procedures and technologies.
  • Advanced experience interpreting contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings. Experience identifying savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
  • Responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to his or her function's risk management.
  • Works under direction with infrequent checks; follows established methods and clear-cut policy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 9+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Enterprise IT asset management experience preferred. Experience utilizing the ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management Pro and/or Software Asset Management Pro modules strongly desired.
  • IAITAM Hardware and/or Software certification (or equivalent)
Responsibilities:
  • Provides research and analysis of technical data and problems, processes, policies, and standards of varying complexity to develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to technical operations.
  • Design and execute asset management policies, procedures and processes. Provides guidance in identifying, evaluating and developing processes and procedures that are effective and meet requirements.
  • Verify software deployment data by combination of discussions with the line of business owners and leveraging of software discovery tools, identifying under-deployments for potential cost savings and over-deployments that require the acquisition of additional rights.
  • Provides reporting and analysis to assist in executing solutions and may provide consultation to clients, colleagues and management.
  • Participates in cross-functional linked teams to maintain IT asset management tooling and address technical or systems issues.
  • Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
  • The aforementioned responsibilities and job duties for this role will be applied specifically to IT asset management (ITAM) capabilities across the client's system.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs complex analysis of business issues utilizing established methodology and tools within IT asset management.
  • Works with the clients and other resources to assess current ITAM capabilities, identify customer needs and recommends business process improvements within technology areas.
  • Provides some complex support and collaboration in completing analysis, providing ad-hoc reports, information or process mapping, and/or alignment of the business and related resources.
  • Contributes to and participates in process improvement and solution discussions and may present outcomes in written and verbal format to senior management.
  • Develops and designs new business processes and the elaboration and updating of existing business processes within technology areas.
  • Participates in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects within technology areas.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
