TX, San Antonio 78249 Security Clearance: U.S. Citizen, Current Security Clearance, Secret Skills: Security Validation, SecVal, Corelight, Verodin, SOC, HIPS, DLP, VPN, AV Network SecurityWe are seeking a Security Validation (SecVal) Expert to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting cyber tools and processes for a federal government Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. Qualified candidates will have expertise working with Corelight and Verodin products, preferably in a DoD SOC. Location Note: Availability to work in San Antonio is preferred; remote work will be considered Relocation assistance is available Duties and responsibilities include:- Provide SME level guidance for network detection and support for the SOC
- Provide expertise regarding incidents and security applications and support improvements to increase security posture and resolution process
- Provide expertise regarding security tools for Corelight and Verodin products, Host- Based Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS), Data Loss Protection (DLP), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Security in Network AV, etc.
- U.S. citizenship
- Current security clearance (secret at a minimum)
- 4+ years of experience supporting Cybersecurity in a DoD or SOC environment
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field is desired; additional years of related work experience will be considered
- Current industry recognized certification to meet DoD 8570 requirements at the IAT Level II/III including CISSP, Security+, CCNP is preferred
- Security Vendor Certification is preferred
- AWS or Azure Cloud Certification is preferred
- Expertise working with Corelight and Verodin products
- Experience with SIEM for network event logging, monitoring, and scanning
- Understanding of the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) standards and guidelines
- Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), FedRAMP, and NIST 800 security controls
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to be successful in a blended government contractor and government environment and interacting with technical and non-technical team members
- Availability to work in San Antonio is preferred; remote work from other locations will be considered
