API QA Tester Position Description CGI is seeking a senior API QA Tester that knows how to interact with backend services (APIs) and has a good understanding of how they are used and related. Be able to use API testing tools and report defects as well as be able to do manual testing processing. This role must be located at one of the following locations: Knoxville, TN; Wayne, NJ; Tampa, FLYour future duties and responsibilities FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Create, execute test plans, automation, manual tests, experience API testing using Postman, SoapUI and other tools, agile work flow tools JIRA/Azure DevOps. Exposure to testing tools UFT, QTP and others• Work with project teams to understand business/system requirements and solution designs.• Design and build test automation to confirm API functionality, performance and error handling• Write Test cases, define input parameters, execute, compare (expected vs actual), and exception handling• Track and report defects, work with developers to resolve defects.• Validate functionality, reliability, performance and security of programming interfaces.• Participate in project/release planning to establish and maintain testing plans and initial scheduling estimates.• Aid in the recommendation, evaluation, selection and implementation of appropriate tools to enable the strategy for the maturation of IT QA/QC.• Participate in continuous improvement efforts for the maturation of the IT QA/QC function and the overall SDLC/PMLC.• Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for IT QA/QC to promote a culture of good qualityRequired qualifications to be successful in this role Experience with core and retail bankingSkill Set/Years of Experience/Proficiency LevelAPI Testing 5MasterReporting Defects5MasterQA Testing5ProficientAnalytical5ProficientDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREDTeam Oriented, client facing skills, able to collaborate with multiple teams.Skill Set/Years of Experience/Proficiency LevelSelenium 5HighTestComplete, Qmetry, UFT, QTP5 MediumLightning Component Framework, Apex5HighPostman5HighMinimum Education Required:Bachelors Degree#doubledown
