Director/IT Operations(Infrastructure)

This position will start as a 3 month plus contract with a possibility to roll to a fulltime/permanant position.Reports to SVP/Information Technology- Significant work exp as dept Director or similiar position. MUST come out of a very large user environment- Client has approximately 3000 users. Total IT staff of 40 people(20 in infrastructure) (15 in IT Ops/help desk) 10 yrs plus exp working in IT operations(infrastructure) supervising technology teams and overseeing large IT projects. Excelent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunication systems. Familiar with industry regulations and quality standards. Strong computer skills and MS Office- co uses Office 365. and Relational databases and software.Exp with acquisitions and integrations preferred.Strong organizational skills is a MUST. Will be innovative to enhance productivity. Strong working knowledge of operations mgmt to optimize productivity and employee performance. Develop and implement plans and pbjectives for the dept in an effective manner. Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by VP of IT. Oversee and coordinate all daily operations within IT dept-IT support, Network engineering, infrastructure operations, Telephony. Candidate should have built an IT Operations staff and/or been through a significant transformation.
