Senior Software Engineer/Downtown Boston/Competitive Salary Job Description An opportunity to join an eCommerce giant located right in downtown Boston. This company was founded in Boston and has a net revenue of $2.8 billion in the U.S. alone. They are looking to bring on senior and principal software engineers for their Post Order team. The team is responsible for what happens after an order is placed, such as order processing, updating the inventory, and tracking the order. They also develop tools for the customer service agents and for actions such as processing returns. Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or any Engineering principle • 7 years software development experience OR 2 years' experience and a master's degree • Experience designing productions systems at scale • Experience in troubleshooting and using issue resolution techniques • Experience with data processing and data pipelining Desired Skills & Experience • Understanding of end-to-end web architecture including HTTP protocol • Experience with Python • Experience with Java • Experience with big data, streaming technologies, and/or RESTful web service development • Ability to troubleshoot system issues. Daily Responsibilities • Lead technical roadmaps, design, and implementation across multiple teams • Participate and deliver opinions in weekly meetings • Motivate and influence teams to buy into vision and roadmap • Spearhead architectural decisions including inception, design, and delivery • Ensure production readiness for team including testing, monitoring, deployment, and proactive troubleshooting • Make note of risks/gaps in product offerings • Create proposals and action plans to garner support across the organization • Drive implementation through short feedback loops and data-driven actionThe Offer • Competitive Salary: Up to $180k/year, DOE You will receive the following benefits: • Health, vision, life insurance • 401(k) + match This company is able to sponsor employees to work in the U.S.#LI-JW1
