Type of Requisition: RegularClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Top SecretJob Family: Network AdministrationGDIT is seeking Junior Network Engineers to support a $100M+ US Navy program that will provide full spectrum Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) technical support to the warfighter in the Continental United States (CONUS). Support may also extend outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), and in rare cases, in hazardous areas. These critical C5ISR solutions will support a broad range of Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD customers, including joint forces commands and disaster recovery/first responders. In support of this program, GDIT will perform and provide network engineering services in support of a number of Mission Networks.Junior Network Engineers will be expected to have the training and network knowledge to be able to participate in the following tasks, and to accomplish a number of the tasks with limited supervision.Duties may include: Participate in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Participate in periodic and ad-hoc performance and volume reporting for all components via dashboards to track Key Performance Parameters (KPPs), service level objectives, application performance, and progress toward meeting Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs). As part of a team, analyze and correlate data from multiple sources and prepare reports that summarize and articulate data into live data dashboards, charts, infographic or animations As part of a team, analyze customer requirements and suggest solutions to technical problems Perform maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks Perform checks of network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability Participate in the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed Configure systems for data communication networks according to plans and secure network systems in accordance with supplied Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Test new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network Maintains current and advanced knowledge of progressive and advancing technology as assigned Participate in design and build of the hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networksRequirements:Junior Network Engineers, may have fewer than three (0-3) years of experience.

For Junior Network Engineers, a Bachelor's Degree in a Technical, IT or Computer Science Discipline is required, and substitutions are not allowed.

Preferred certificates:Net + and Security + certifications are desirable. Also, Cisco certifications such as CCDA, CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are desirable.
