Our Client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, has an immediate need for Techno/Functional Business Intelligence Lead. The position is located in the Quad Cities of Illinois and Iowa. This is a full time permanent position. Ideal candidates must have 4+ years of experience designing and deploying business intelligence strategies within enterprise size organizations. ResponsibilitiesPosition Profile: The Techno/functional Business Intelligence Lead will support the Manufacturing and Business Intelligence strategy that is being rolled out across all locations using Microsoft BI technologies. This is an internal techno-functional consulting role that works with business process owners across manufacturing and commercial departments to support existing current business processes while identifying opportunities for improvements that enable added business value in a cost-effective manner. This role supports critical smart manufacturing initiatives that will drive continuous improvement and business value.Essential Functions: This position includes both creation of strategic vision, and tactical management including execution, examples include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze, develop, enhance, and support the integration and data consolidation to enable business processes that may span multiple computing environments.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business process integration needs for assigned locations and has a good general understanding of the business.
  • Takes initiative to identify and implement system and/or process improvements to support business objectives.
  • Use a combination of leading-edge information technologies along with existing legacy tools to develop and deliver solutions to meet business needs.
  • Operate at an expert level in one or more areas of IT technologies and recommends and develops standards in these technologies. Acts as a mentor to teach others of these technologies.
  • Is viewed as a leader and change agent within both IT and customer community.
  • Provide expertise and support for ongoing operations of existing systems, including problem resolution, and instituting preventative measures.
  • Interact with systems and BU business process owners during the deployment of Manufacturing applications projects.
  • Effectively utilize project methodology and tools to deliver solutions and communicate status.
QualificationsTechnical Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with software development life cycle methodologies
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft BI tools (or related experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of SQL Programming (Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL-Server, SQL, TSQL)
  • Minimum 3 years of database design experience
  • Technical proficiency in any of the following areas is desired: Procedural Programming, Microsoft Visual Basic, Microsoft SharePoint Foundation, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps. - Preferred
  • Application experience with Microsoft SQL Server Applications, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Oracle or SAP ERP applications, Rockwell Historian or OSIsoft PI - Preferred
  • Technical experience in Web Development in Java, .NET, SharePoint Designer, JBOSS - Preferred
  • Manufacturing functional experience working on quality, order management, planning & scheduling, shipping, or operations management information systems projects - Preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in leading IT projects - Preferred
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree - required
