Job Description: This Registered Nursing position performs responsible professional nursing work or professional administrative nursing work in the assigned locations within the Seguin HUB. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of clients in accordance with accepted professional, legal and ethical nursing standards.
Primary responsibilities include medication monitoring and administration, individual assessments, laboratory collections and interpretation of lab results, individual and family education regarding medications, health and nutrition, mental illness, and substance use.
This position will also be responsible for giving injections, performing venipuncture, administering urine drug screens, pregnancy tests and performing genetic testing swabs.
The RN is responsible for adhering to all agency policies and procedures. This nursing position will support behavioral health, substance use, developmental disabilities, primary care, early childhood, and medicated assisted treatment programs.
This position will be responsible for reporting to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM and will provide support to other clinics within the Seguin HUB during times of vacancies. This RN will be under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and the Center Director. This applicant must possess an ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and have excellent communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas with at least one year of recent nursing experience; ability to work collaboratively and be part of a multidisciplinary professional team; computer literate with working knowledge of Windows/MS office applications; excellent written and oral communication skills; must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications: ANCC Psychiatric/Mental Health Certification or CARN certification; experience working in psychiatric settings, with Individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders and or primary care
