Description We might have a job for you, if you are an experienced Project Manager/ Sr. Consultant. This Senior Project Manager position with Robert Half will join an existing team to work onsite with a local client in the Des Moines, Iowa area. You will strengthen your candidacy if you can be responsible for managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project. The person we hire should be able to manage key projects as part of our client's strategic business plan. You will ensure that changes are delivered to the expectations of stakeholders. This is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity.How you will make an impact- Creates schedules and milestones, manages project scope and timelines, and inputs from all other teams assigns to that product- Prepares the RACI matrix for projects in a product line- Colludes and communicates with stakeholders, developers, technical team members and designers- Operates with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects- Supervises deployment scheduling in coordination with Dev Ops, tech lead, and Product Owner- Produces detailed reporting to management on risk assessment, milestone completion, and project status- Cooperates with the Product Owner/Product Manager to facilitate creation and maintenance of the Project Roadmap- Support the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products- See to it that the functional requirements are achievable, tracked, and met- Be instrumental to classify, identify, and manage risk for functional improvement requests- Cooperates with Product Owner/Product Manager to assure that the product vision and high-level business objectives are evident and realistic- Serves as Scrum Master for the developers on the team - leading scrum ceremonies, clearing obstacles and ensuring the team is working effectively- Aids to manage dependencies among cross-product teams- Coordinates the daily stand-ups, ensuring they are focused, timely, and brief- Determines and schedules projects - as per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner- Work in close cooperation with the Business Analyst, QA Manager, Product Owner/Product Manager, and Product Specialist- Gathers information from technical leads, QA leads and business analysts into recommendations- Commands project planning- Confirms project with suitable ticket workflows and boards- Indexes and executes the sprint planning and grooming meetings and traces ticket assignments Requirements - If you are familiar and comfortable with IT project management methodologies, you can succeed in this position- Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability, strong operation and project management skills- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines - We need the person we hire to be flexible and focused- PMO (project management office) experience highly desired- Proficiency in PMO (project management office)- Well-founded grasp of Agile Software Development- Comprehensive knowledge of Annuities- Foundational knowledge in project management- Life insurance experience required- Proven knowledge of Agile project management- Capable of working independently with minimal oversight- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant Project Management experience - Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments - Applicants with proficiency using commonly accepted scheduling and project management tools are preferred - A Project Management (PMP) certification is required for success at this position.- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills - It is preferred for applicants to have experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
