Job DetailsThe Senior Drafter creates, reviews and distributes technical drawings and cut files for any given project. They share responsibility for keeping the department's assigned tasks on pace and prioritizes according to the production schedule. The Senior Draftsperson will also lead the Digital Fabrication Office in department improvements, new techniques, and standard engineering practices.Requirements:
  • Proficient in creating technical drawings, renderings, and cut files in CAD/3D modeling software (Solidworks, Inventor, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Sketch up).
  • Experience working in a shop or installation environment preferred over a relevant college education.
  • Highly procient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D drafting.
  • Capable of generating complete drawing sets by delegating portions of the drafting to multiple draftspersons.
  • Highly procient in 3D modeling using Autodesk Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, or Solidworks.
  • Knowledge of standard architectural materials including but not limited to sheet metal, structural metal stock, plywood, MDF and particleboard, laminates, veneer, and solid wood.
  • Knowledge of cabinet hardware (e.i. Blum and Hafele products as well as assembly hardware such as Lamello's P-System, Festool Countertop Connectors, etc.).
  • Knowledge of architectural door standards and hardware e.g. concealed closers, offset pivot hinges, pocket door hardware.
  • Knowledge of kitchen appliances and how to coordinate installation with architectural millwork.
  • Background in carpentry is highly preferred.
