Job Description:
  • Responsibilities include planning, executing, and implementing large, complex Infrastructure projects by working closely with the business team members to accomplish the goals of the business and IT department
  • This includes creation of comprehensive project plans, and coordination of team members, third-party contractors, and consultants
  • Additional responsibilities include assisting with strategic plans and roadmaps for future Infrastructure initiatives; tracking project milestones and deliverables; identifying and mitigating issues; resolving conflicts with the project; and developing/presenting proposals, reports and project plans to management

Job Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience working in an environment with LAN, regional and global MPLS networks including multiple remote site offices or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Strong background in Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 technologies and the ability to work as a team to maintain infrastructure stability and technical certification as CCNP or JNCIP required
  • Deep understanding of routing and switching, firewalls, wireless, remote access VPN, site-to-site, network/application load balancing, DHCP, DNS, public key infrastructure, RADIUS, TACACS desired
  • Knowledge and experience with the following will also be required: Juniper Ethernet Switching, Cisco routing and switching. Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills required

Job Responsibilities:
  • Day to day support of Honda North America regional network 80+ locations
  • Data Center Data Hall Floor support
  • Log file review, general network health analysis
  • Analyze and monitor the performance of the network using SolarWinds Monitoring (NPM, NCM, IPAM, Net Flow, Ping Plotter, MIB, OID) Tools respond to network outages and working with vendors to ensure smooth operation and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshooting issue resolution of LAN/WAN environment both prime shifts and after hours on-call support
  • Incident, Problem, Configuration and Change management
  • Project work such as design, ordering equipment, configuring new equipment, lease replacements
  • Responsible for monitoring networking systems, networking devices, and building custom built tools to meet 100% SLA uptime standards.
  • Providing customer support , testing network connections, equipment installation and tune-up and remote hands assistance.
  • Responsible for handling Second level troubleshooting issues, upgrading operating systems, and planning layout for configuration systems.
  • Schedule and perform maintenance and system upgrades of network infrastructure.
  • Responsible for assisting Lead Network Engineer in areas of Design, Configuration switches, Routers and ASA.

KSAOs:
  • Experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless 802.11 environments, Security (IPS/IDS,NAC), and F5 load balancers.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple vendors to support work required at remote sites.
  • Work history of supporting data center floor operations
  • Operational understand of SD-WAN technology and solutions
  • Experience with support and service delivery of SD-WAN vendor like Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN, VeloCloud, Viptela, Cisco Meraki, Cloudgenix, etc
