RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client who is in need of Level 2 Desktop Support Technicians in Alpharetta for an upcoming computer deployment project. The project will start on October 18th and last for 1-2 months. It will be regular working hours, 8am - 5pm, Mon-Fri.The Desktop Support Technician is viewed as the escalation point concerning the deployments on site and the single point of contact for both the customer and Kforce technical personnel on a per site basis. The Desktop Support Technician is directly responsible for the overall success for deployment of a site while providing oversight and guiding Level 1 resources. At any given time, Desktop Support Technicians will be able to provide a current status of an assigned site's deployment progress and personnel status. This role may report to either the customer Project Manager, Kforce Project Coordinator, Kforce Technical Solutions Director, or Kforce Staffing Director.Specific responsibilities of Desktop Support Technicians include, but are not limited to: Site oversight Provides direction and technical guidance to Level 1 Technicians as well as an escalation point for issues Reports all logistics, deliverables and IT issues to Kforce and client project management as appropriate Responsible for timely reporting of any issues to Kforce leadership identified at assigned sites (i.e. personnel issues, client concerns, access to locations, or items that are slowing deployment project progress) Responsible for assigned site asset management Performs physical deployments of site's hardware, software and data migrations Configures OS settings as outlined in a project deployment procedure Peripheral installation and configurations Providing basic project related technical assistance Data entry Cable management Provides proper material handling, site refuse and site cleanup of materials from the deployment activities to ensure a clean work environment for our customers.REQUIREMENTS: Higher level IT certifications like such as MCITP, MTA, and MCSE/MCSA are preferred, but not necessarily required given a solid and proven track record of leadership A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant IT experience At least 1 year of relevant higher level project lead experience Must be able to pass customer's specified background and drug screen requirements Expert understanding of common enterprise edition operating systems Expert understanding of Microsoft Office configuration and troubleshooting, including Excel, Word and Outlook Expert understanding of common deployment techniques both networked and physical Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced work environment with very tight deadlines Must have access to reliable transportationKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
