Job Title: Manager

Supervises: Store Cashiers and other Employees

Status: DOE

United Gas is a locally owned gas station and c-store. We sell gas, tobacco, beer, soft drinks, snacks, propane, lottery tickets, and more. We try to give our customers the best customer service they deserve.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Employee Hiring, Firing, Training, scheduling, assigning duties, and guiding them when they seek help. Keep a safe environment for employees.

Scheduling all employees shifts, arrange another cashier if one calls in or fill in for that shift.

Customers Service, customers safety

Ordering and Maintaining Inventory

Weekly checking Profit Margins

Weekly checking and updating Inventory Prices as needed.

Reducing inventory shrinkage and controlling inventory theft.

Writing, editing, and/or collecting and filing necessary Documents from employees, vendors, and other documents as needed/ assigned.

Make sure all business Licenses, Permits, and Food Safety Certificates are valid and renew as needed.

Follow Chevron guidelines – attached or provided in a separate document

Ensure POS, Credit Card, Lottery, EBT machines are working. As well as all other equipments and fuel dispensers are fully operational. Maintain all equipment in clean and good working condition.

Education/Experience:

High School Graduate

Minimum five years’ general work experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving vehicles; outdoor weather conditions; Risk of Propane burn, and electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but sometimes very loud.

Standing, walking, and handling items are required at least 5.5 hrs./ day and during the entire shift up to 8+ hours/ day. Reaching outward is required up to 5.5 hrs./ day. Reaching above the shoulder, squatting, or kneeling, and bending are required for about 2.5 hours/ day.

Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required.
