The pricing manager will be responsible for managing the position and strategic sales of the Regional Beef graded programs and products. Will be responsible for cutout improvement and pricing decisions as it relates to the business. Must understand yields and the relationship that it bears regarding cost. Analysis of market situations and development of sales strategy are critical in this role. Profit and loss responsibility; $/head contribution and improvement.Principle Responsibilities:Position Management
Maintain forward positions, call the market higher/lower/steady; trade accordingly
Manage a close relationship with domestic and international sales teams to develop markets and customers to drive performance
Manage committed formula customers and maintain applicable pricing for those accounts
Product Mix Management
Understand yields and meat breakeven; drive value in competitive advantage
Understand and drive a critical converted & value added mix, led by total revenue contribution
Plan for mix shifts and empower the scheduling and sales teams to execute
Support scheduling team with production forecasting to accurately manage sales availability across frozen & fresh production
Drive $/head Valuation
Develop markets, think outside of the box to drive value
Reporting
Develop and maintain appropriate reporting, i.e. market recaps, high to low, pricelists, etc.
Manage People
Manage supporting pricing manager & program/product manager
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree
5-8 years’ experience in the beef industry with heavy emphasis on sales and pricing
Preferred accounting and finance experience
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and inventory management software preferred
Strong data analysis skill with attention to detail and accuracy
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
Base salary range of $100,000-$150,000 and
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
