Aviation Technician

Description This contractor position is in support of the FAA's Aviation Weather Office requirement to conduct work for the development of new and enhanced aviation weather capabilities and systems, the sustainment and transition of legacy National Airspace System (NAS) subsystems, and other weather efforts Expertise and Functions Provide critical electrical/mechanical/fabrication skills suitable for maintaining Customer designated infrastructure Provide support to either Project Manager or mid-level/junior Engineering/Science personnel in the areas of scheduling, data gathering/limited analyses, database population, preparation of technical/project reports, test reports, and associated documentation Participate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Engineering supervisor Report status and results Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training (both required and desired): High School diploma required Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline desired Experience: 6+ years of professional experience in the required task area required FAA program experience highly desired Security: Must be a US citizen Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
