Title: Technical Writer & Content ManagerLocation: Remote or Onsite (Herndon, VA)A key member of the product team, the Technical Writer & Content Manager will be responsible for supporting the product management team in a variety of activities. The product team’s activities span the entire product lifecycle, through ideation, planning, designing, building, and launch.The ideal candidate will need to have an eye for detail, will not be shy about product content reinvention, and will look for new ways to improve HawkEye 360 user experiences.

We’ll Expect You To…
  • Contribute to ongoing enhancement & maintenance of HawkEye 360’s existing products.
  • Support the strategy, roadmap, development and launch of HawkEye 360 products.
  • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
  • Develop training materials and product documentation for products.
  • Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
  • Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights into language that sets our users up for success.
  • Perform functional testing of products to ensure the quality and accuracy of product documentation.
  • Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
  • Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are clearly conveyed.
  • Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
  • Manage and organize technical documentation and other content.
  • Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications.
  • Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.

You’ll Need to Have…
  • 4+ years of experience in Digital Management, Technical Writing, and Copy Editing.
  • Bachelor's in technical or business-related field or equivalent experience
  • Analytical and organizational skills w/ the ability to concisely articulate a salient point of view.
  • Demonstrated ability to work constructively and collaboratively with wide company functions including accounting/finance, human resources, engineering, product, and legal/strategy.
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion about solving customer problems through new and innovative technology.
  • A willingness to do the hard work required to make an early-stage venture successful.
  • Unwavering focus on meeting targets and achieving objectives.
  • An outstanding academic and professional record of achievement.

We’d Like to See…
  • Experience with global markets, government or commercial.
  • Exposure to defense and intelligence ecosystem.
  • Experience with geospatial exploitation and analysis.
