POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Software Developer, Client/Server develops computer software programs in accordance with programming specifications. This position designs, program structure, writes and compiles program code and tests computer program operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Review programming specifications for computer programs.
  • Analyzes program specifications and code for programs to be developed.
  • Designs program structure for computer programs.
  • Writes and compiles program code.
  • Test computer program operations.
  • Modifies program code and structure.
  • Performs related duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience programming in VB.NET.

Knowledge of VB.NET programming in a windows environment, application design and programming with relational database, principles and methods of systems, procedures and analysis in an interactive systems environment, principles and techniques of systems planning and programming, concepts and specifics of application design information systems and technology.

Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing), meet deadlines, analyze data, reason logically, understand simultaneous occurrence of multiple processes, analyze alternatives, and develops effective programming solutions, designs and develops systems for processing data, code and debug complex systems.

Physical Abilities include sitting for extended periods of time, reaching/handling, fine manual dexterity, talking, hearing, near visual acuity, depth perception, visual accommodation, field of vision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • One (1) year of work experience programming in VB.NET.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in data processing, computer science, management information systems or related field.
  • Experience working with ASP.NET
  • Experience working with WPF.
  • Experience performing object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Databases.
