The Village of Los Lunas, incorporated in 1928, is a friendly, pro-development community located 20 minutes from downtown Albuquerque, 15 minutes from the Albuquerque International Sunport Airport, and easily accessible from the Interstate-25, which runs north and south through the Village of Los Lunas and the State of New Mexico. Los Lunas’ Main Street (NM State Highway-6) which runs east and west through Los Lunas, conveniently and directly connects to Interstate I-40, bypassing Albuquerque’s metro traffic.The Village of Los Lunas operates under the Mayor/Council form of government, consisting of a Mayor and four Council Members. The IT Director is a newly created position who will be responsible for the overall planning, organization, and execution of information technology functions within the Village’s operations. Under the direct supervision of the Village Administrator, the Director will perform complex professional, technical, and administrative work managing all aspects of the IT Division operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.Los Lunas seeks a servant leader of high integrity to serve as its inaugural IT Director. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Management Information Services, Computer Science, or a closely related field, with a Master’s Degree preferred. Candidates should have at least eight years of progressively responsible experience managing information technology systems in a Windows environment in combination with any of the following areas: software development, data center operations, MS-SQL Server administration, or similar experience, including five years of experience in a supervisory and/or executive management capacity. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered. Governmental/public sector agency experience is preferred.
