USEReady has a great career opportunity for a Head of Product in NY City! The Product Team has the following core responsibilities:

  • Co-ownership of Digital product strategy and roadmap with the business team.
  • Providing recommendations and impact statements to business owners.
  • Delivering critical thinking and solutions that solve key business & customer problems.
  • Defining the why, when, and what of the product that is being built.
  • UI/UX design decisions.
  • Measure, analyze and optimize product performance
As the leader for this team, this position has the following responsibilities:
  • Understand key priorities for the organization and work with division leaders to prioritize product development accordingly
  • Work with division leaders to develop long-term product strategy
  • Serve as a sounding board and resource for business stakeholders on new digital product development
  • Participate in and facilitate new digital product development workshops with business stakeholders
  • Manage and assign digital product management workloads
  • Proactively refine and implement digital product management processes
  • Facilitate cross-functional digital product management among divisions using established processes
  • Issue resolution among business units through creative options and out of the box thinking
  • Collaborate with Global Technology Service leadership team on delivery of service to business units
  • Define and track KPIs for measuring product team success
  • Generate insights from data, industry trends, and customer feedback to inform decisions on product prioritization and what goes on the roadmap
  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of the needs of the customers, and the competitive landscape
  • Build bridges between business divisions who share product responsibility but can have competing priorities.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, development, editorial, project management, and customer service on product development priorities
  • Present product milestones and status to corporate leadership quarterly

Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience managing a cross-functional digital product team, ideally in a multi-business unit environment
  • 10+ years of overall product management experience
  • Ability to evaluate talent and optimize structure
  • Extensive experience with subscription and advertising-supported products, with an emphasis on products that mix both elements
  • Working technical understanding of content management systems, marketing automation platforms and development processes, both Agile and Waterfall
  • Solid understanding of audience data and how they are used to drive product growth
  • Excellent organizational skills, process oriented thinking, strong attention to detail, and good grasp of business concepts
  • Experienced with the various phases of product management including requirements gathering, business analysis, documentation, budgeting, scope management and success metrics
  • Resilient and able to add value to a team of seasoned senior product executives
  • Knowledgeable about current trends in digital media including leading web, production, and/or business enterprise vendors, as well as outsource/off-shore companies and services
  • Excellent people skills and a team oriented attitude are essential
  • Experience with product and project management software and platforms
  • Bachelor's Degree
