Overview This 2nd shift position supports a global on-premises, video centric, white glove collaboration deployment in a secure, 24x7 shift work environment. In this role you will interface with customers, vendors and other IT Infrastructure teams to deliver a world class video experience. The successful candidate will will work as a member of a Video Operations Center . Must be able to perform technical duties related to administration and end-user support for VTC infrastructure, endpoint devices and video streaming. Responsibilities

  • Provide customer assistance and high touch conference management and scheduling supporting Cisco Video Room and Desktop Codecs, browser-based WebRTC connections on enterprise devices and BYOD for remote workers, and assist with 3rd party external standard SIP/H.323 clients.
  • Conduct testing and configuration of existing endpoint and server hardware and VMs, including application of security controls, generation and application of security certificates, and specialized configuration testing for individual platforms
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, registry settings, logging, and virtualization
  • Perform patching and firmware upgrades on endpoints and infrastructure, provide break/fix support and daily operations and management support including metrics and reporting.
  • Work closely with vendor support for hardware and/or software problem resolution, capture and provide logs and document resolutions for management.
  • Adhere to the ITIL library in support of incident and change management
  • Experience with Cisco Video Teleconferencing Architecture to include infrastructure equipment configuration and dial plan infrastructure
  • Infrastructure equipment to include Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Expressway-C/E, MCUs, VCS Control, VCS Expressway, and Cisco Telepresence Management System (TMS)
  • Experience with video streaming (live and on demand streaming)
  • Candidate must have the ability to remotely troubleshoot VTC units located at the various sites around the country.
  • Candidate must have the ability to use TMS software to setup and configure Video Teleconference units, upgrade phone books, push configurations, and upgrade firmware.
  • Candidate will be required to perform required maintenance of all VTC equipment including patching, upgrades, STIG.
  • Candidate will be required to development Enterprise Change Requests (ECR's) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for VTC equipment.
  • Candidate will be required to configure and install Cisco Equipment (Expressways, Codian MCU, TMS, Cisco Meeting Server, and VTC Units.
  • Candidate consults with client(s) and internal engineering groups to create and/or review requirements, functional specifications and detailed designs.
  • Candidate shall provide assistance in the scheduling, planning, coordinating, and operation of VTC equipment.
  • Candidate will provide support for all hardware and software related requirements for various VTC sites, including room-based VTC systems and desktop VTC units.
  • Plan and document multi-step complex changes and develop disaster recovery procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively in all business relationships and various levels of management in a clear and direct manner
  • Be able to contact and work with vendor support for hardware and/or software problem resolution
  • Serve as an escalation point for our Internal VOC staff
Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Security +
  • 3+ years working in the Unified Communications industry
  • Excellent communications and documentation skills
  • At least (1) of the following certifications:
  • Cisco Video Network Specialist
  • Cisco CCNA Collaboration
  • Cisco Certified Specialist
  • CUCM Certification
