Microwave Techniques is searching for a Painter in the Gorham, ME location!

What will you do in this role?

Prep industrial microwave components for painting by masking and taping

Accurately mix paints and evenly spray primer and paint on the components

Send newly painted components to Quality Assurance for confirmation of meeting quality standards

Follow military specification painting processes, including paint thicknesses, color, and free of imperfections

Read and interpret blueprints to complete work per customers’ orders

Properly dispose of hazardous waste by following guidelines and procedures

Responsible to maintain own paint inventory

Use an alcohol-based solution and paint thinner to clean-up parts after paining

Brand the components by creating and affixing labels and stencils

Package and crate components to ensure safe delivery to customer locations

What do you need to be successful?

Experience in industrial and or military specifications painting preferred

Knowledge of intricate painting techniques preferred

Ability to interpret and understand blueprints

Attention to detail to ensure high quality work

Ability to spot imperfections and use tools and paint to properly correct

Teamwork skills

Reliable and dependable

Demonstrated time management skills to meet deadlines

Takes pride in work with a strong focus on quality

The shift in Gorham, Maine is Monday through Friday. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and supplied by Microwave Techniques, including a safety shoe reimbursement program.
