This position is contingent upon contract award.MindPoint Group is seeking a Cloud Security Architect whowill focus on standardization, suitability, and integration of the existing security portfolio while looking to incorporate new and more dynamic solutions to make the client's environment more secure and user-friendly. As a Cloud Security Architect, you will be responsible for evaluating new solutions (IoT, APIs, etc.) and developing the supporting elements required to incorporate new technologies safely and securely. The candidate should be familiar with the following:

  • Workwith internal stakeholders across numerous technical functions, develop a technical roadmap for Cloud security enhancement
  • Operate as the senior-most subject matter expert for cloud security
  • Define the policies and procedures related to cloud procurement, use, and control requirements
  • Responsible for complex program design, testing, debugging, and documentation
  • Ensure user experience considerations are incorporated into the program design and delivered solution
  • Provide recommendations on cloud-native as well as third party security solutions and products
  • Lead the proof of concept, product selection, and deployment of cloud security-related solutions
  • Identify areas of technical consolidation as well as cloud governance requirements for non-centralized functions
  • Provide escalated administrative support for cloud security systems as needed
  • Collaborate with peer groups to help them take full advantage of the latest cloud-native security capabilities and integrations
  • Partner with and ultimately manage the relationship with key technical vendors to deliver cloud security capabilities
  • Support the hiring and onboarding of junior cloud security personnel as the function grows

Qualifications

  • Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible) is strongly preferred but will consider exceptional candidates who are Public Trust eligible
  • Minimum of five years security architecture experience
  • Three years of cloud security architecture
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience (Computer Science preferred)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent

Work Environment:While this position is fully remote, preference will be given to candidates who reside in the Washington, DC area. For candidates outside of the Washington, DC area, travel up to 10% to Washington, DC area will be required post COVID.
