Learn more at www.avaya.com.About the Opportunity The IT Network Team is responsible for Avaya's global network and network security infrastructures, including architecture, design, implementation and operations support. In addition to being responsible for Avaya's enterprise network infrastructure, the Network Team is also responsible for Avaya's OneCloud infrastructure that supports Avaya's Unified Communication and Contact Center cloud customers. To be successful in this role you will be working with other engineers and architects in IT and other Avaya business units such as R&D and Product Management. About the Responsibilities Design, implement and support Avaya's OneCloud global network and security infrastructures that support Avaya's Unified Communication and Contact Center services, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, load balancers, data center fabric, Internet routing and public Cloud connectivity. Research and evaluate new products, services and technologies that could help improve performance, availability, manageability and user experience of Avaya's infrastructure and services Propose and update network architecture changes Develop and document network standards and best practices Be part of a team that provides 7x24 on call coverage to support Avaya's OneCloud services May involve working directly with customers on network designs, implementation and troubleshooting About the Requirements SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Expertise in IP Network (Routing & Switching, network protocols, network security, SDWAN, SDN, data center networks, load balancers, DNS) Experience in troubleshooting complex network and application problems, including competency in packet analysis Windows and Unix/Linux systems administration experience desired Familiarity with Virtual Machines. Hands-on experience with VMware a plus. Perl, TCL or Python scripting and automation experience desired EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field desired Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification in Routing and Switching desired CISSP or other security related certification a plus Footer Avaya is an Equal Opportunity employer and a U.S. Federal Contractor.
