Partner with the bestAs a

Human Machine Interface (

HMI) Engineer, you will take ownership of the technical scope of projects from order through design and build of our systems to supporting commissioning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and help to bring energy to the world.As

HMI Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Designing and implementing Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens for turbine control retrofit, Balance of Plant (BOP) and HMI upgrade projects using a variety of HMI software packages
  • Providing technical support to software engineers in meeting customer needs on HMI applications and cyber asset requirements
  • Designing, implementing and supporting industrial communication networks for control system applications
  • Providing system design engineering as required to facilitate the ordering, engineering, installation (construction) design and commissioning of control systems and industrial networks
  • Supporting Engineering Services field personnel in the technical resolution of field problems
  • Providing assistance with quality assurance on projects

Work Experience

Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelors' Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience working with HMI Software

Desired Characteristics
  • Demonstrated experience working with industrial network communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, TCP/IP, ProfiBus
  • Strong background in HMI application software including Cimplicity and Historian based products
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and application of virtual machines in a Microsoft Windows operating environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the application and design of cyber asset protection applications and hardening of HMI computers
  • Demonstrated experience working in the industrial controls or power generation industry
  • Strong computer skills: experience setting up Windows based applications including Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 7, Windows 10 and proficiency in standard MS Office applications
  • Technical skills in engineering design and construction practices
  • Proven team player with solid cooperation, flexibility and demonstrated capacity to learn complex information quickly
  • Field experience in related equipment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
