Job RoleInnovaSystems has an opening for a System's Engineer to lead its Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise (NRRE) systems engineering team. This is non-supervisory position to be part of a team of 10 system engineers. Whose responsibilities will be to manage servers on both NIPRnET and SIPRNet enclaves that works together to record and analyze all U.S Navy unit’s readiness data. The servers are co-located offsite. All systems are accessible through a secure remote connection at the Navy’s Fleet Forces Command Norfolk, VA.The Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise (NRRE) dynamic yet challenging environment that is constantly evolving. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, creative agile environment. Performing but not limited to the following:- Install, configure, test and maintain equipment, operating systems and related software
- Monitor and maintain the inventory of assets
- Develop and/or review technical documentation
- Complete required Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists.
- Remediation of CAT I/ CAT II/ CAT III findings associated with scans of these devices
- Be able to work both independently and on a team
- Assist with the planning and implement future migration to the cloud environment.
- Collaborates with other system engineers or application owners to design solutions for customers.
- US Government Cyber Security Workforce Compliant (Active Secret Clearance, Security + and Microsoft Server qualified).
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS Administration.
- Experience in Azure resources manager (ARM Templates).
- Direct hands-on experience administering Microsoft Server 2016.
- Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and IP configuration
- Experience managing/configuring IIS Websites.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft PowerShell, and implementing Group Policy Object within AD.
- Familiar with software installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience evaluating and tuning systems to maintain performance.
- Experience providing technical assistance to developers and IT personnel.
- Experience creating technical documentation.
- Experience reviewing logs for technical issues and taking corrective action.
- Highly desirable Azure Certifications: AZ 104 - Microsoft Azure Administrator, AZ 500 - Microsoft Azure Security Technologies.
- Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
