Workers Compensation Paralegal

Well-established law firm has an immediate opening for a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal at their office just north of Denver. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of workers’ comp experience within a law firm setting. Duties and Responsibilities:

Handle claims from inception through resolution.

Extensive contact with clients, attorneys, insurance carriers, medical providers, and the Worker's Compensation Board.

Create, organize and maintain case files.

E-Filing pleadings and other submissions with the Courts.

Prepare cases for hearings by obtaining medical records, incident reports, and other documents.

Schedule client-attorney meetings and other appointments/events.

Gather and analyze information relevant to the case.

Prepare documents and correspondence to be sent to insurance carriers, Worker's Compensation Board, and other parties.

Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

At least 2 years of law firm experience handling workers’ comp cases.

High school diploma or GED equivalent required. College degree or paralegal certificate is a plus.

Knowledge of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure (CRCP).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong computer skills and proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Must be able to commute to the firm’s office location on a daily basis.
