- Participate in the technical design of the some of the most complex new applications and system enhancements.
- Provide extremely high-level analysis and design to address issues.
- Participate in projects that require the research and strategic development of new tools and technologies so that innovative solutions are created.
- Participate in the development activities revolving around the evolution of Tyler software applications.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure bugs to existing applications are fixed and/or to clear up operational deficiencies in both previously released software and software slated for future release.
- Provide leadership, direction, and experience to assure program, module and system integrity testing is thoroughly completed and adherence to company standards and procedures is met.
- Provide technical leadership for all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, design, analysis, requirements, implementation, test automation, and maintenance.
- Utilize new technologies and tools to modify products and provide integration with applications developed internally and externally.
- Prepare and modify program and system documentation.
- Provide guidance to less experienced team members to ensure knowledge transfer and training are successfully meeting department goals.
- Achieve departmental goals and timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or comparable work experience.
- Typically twelve or more years of software development experience with database technology.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of software development practices, computer science theory, and understanding of relevant technologies.

- Angular 8 or higher and web technologies such as jQuery/HTML/CSS
- Containerization using Docker/Kubernetes

- Github & Mercurial
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of product infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively research and implement solutions outside the scope of standard development environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop well thought out, common components that can be reused in order to streamline the development process.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot complex application and performance problems.
- Demonstrated ability to do analyze designs and identify complex and critical potential performance problems, design inconsistencies, and areas that should be abstracted for reuse.
- Highly effective negotiation skills with various parties to ensure enhancements to applications are addressed while maintaining/balancing business situations and constrictions.
- Demonstrated ability to keep current on industry standards, technologies, etc. and to make recommendations when those can be of benefit.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
- Highly effective experience mentoring less experienced staff to provide guidance and direction.
- Highly effective logical thinking and reasoning skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment.
