Description:AUTOMATION SERVICE MECHANICSCHEDULE:

3rd Shift: 7pm - 5:30am (4 days a week, 10 hours a day. On a 7 week schedule, week 1 candidate works same 4 days, week 2 different 4 days, and so on. Will have 2 full weekends off during 7 week period)

Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.Pay Rate: $22.95 - $28.55/hr (Top end of pay range would require someone with direct experience and a number of years in that field.)Job Description: Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the process equipment, through: Preventive maintenance, Process improvement, Repairs and Service response. The Automation Service Mechanic will work with the Service Supervisors to ensure the system is running efficiently.RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and safely. Perform periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as assigned and according to schedule. Includes hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance, major overhaul of equipment, fabrication of parts, air conditioning and heating system installation, adjustment, system design changes and calibration, and repair of electronic and pneumatic controls.

Perform daily inspection of doors and dock plates, banana rooms, and all other building and support areas. Recognize problems and repairs before breakdown occurs. Independently troubleshoot and repair problems using advanced skills including electronic repair (programmable control and relay logic repair, programming and design).

Repair rack as required. Repair or replace batteries and chargers as needed. Replace damaged or burned out lighting fixtures. Repair ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems.

Be mechanically inclined and have mechanical maintenance and repair skills. Must have worked with voltages up to 480 volts.

Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical instrumentation. Ability to maintain and repair mechanical components of the system, to work with PLC controllers and able to diagnose faults and repair.

Ability to use and understand computer programs and functionality. Ability to learn new information quickly.

Ability to make fine adjustments to controllers, sensors and switches.
