- Engineers are developing an extensible framework for Mission Management, Command & Telemetry, and Flight Dynamics to meet evolving customer needs.
- The Sr. Software Engineer (STE) is a critical position that plays a key role in the result of the program. The Sr. Software Engineer (STE) supports the entire Solution Train on and works closely with the program Sr. Software Engineer (STE) , Solution Managers, Agile Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Product Managers, IPT Leadership, and Program Management.
- As the Sr. Software Engineer (STE), you will perform activities that closely affect the results of the program.
- Help guide the program and Agile teams on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver high quality software.
- Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to and provide a voice of reason and authority.
- Assist with developing and implementing the Agile Maturation Roadmap, Jira Roadmap, and Metrics Roadmap.
- Assist with setting conditions and orchestrating quarterly PI Planning and develop release metrics.
- Assist with developing root causes analysis on Agile implementation problems/issues, offer input on potential resolutions actions, and assist with implementing and tracking a final resolution.
- Coordinate with Solution Management to define the Release and Build Plan priorities.
- Conduct and Publish Lessons Learned from each PI.
- Engage with key customer contacts, Solution Managers, RTEs and with Product Managers as desired to ensure that all relevant inputs to the Solution Backlog have been collected and prioritized.
- Work with the ARTLevel RTEs and Product Managers to ensure Feature completion and Features meet the acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize and assign program resources to resolve issues.
- Keep organization informed of impacts and solution paths for ongoing issues.
- Identify and advocate for other processes, techniques, and methodologies that can improve team and company performance.
- Identify development risks and opportunities with associated risk mitigation and opportunity capture plans.
- Participate in the program Risk and Opportunity Management Board (ROMB).
- Work with the Systems Team Lead and Engineering Operations to report Agile Development Metrics.
- 8 years of experience working in the software development industry.
- 2 years of experience as a software project or task manager.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience with lifecycle management.
