Please review the job details below.Maxar is currently seeking a Manager of Radiometric Calibration and Monitoring ( R a dCAM ) to join our team in Longmont, CO. Some meetings will be onsite in our Westminster, CO location. Life with Us Your Project: In this role, you will be responsible for managing the general operations of the RadCAM team to man age human resource activities, organizational planning, budget management and career development . You will report to the Director, Space Engineering and Calibration. You will manage Maxar's Colorado field site located in Weld County where the team conducts real-time imagery collection campaigns for radiometric calibration. T o be successful in this position, you must have strong communication skills and the ability to partner with the team's senior technical lead to coordinate team direction and operational support. You should also have a broad technical background to effectively lead the technical direction of the team. What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):

  • Lead the RadCAM team to meet operational goals and remov e obstacles to ensure team members can focus on technical solutions and projects
  • Represent the RadCAM team at department and other management and general operations forum s to co llabor ate up and across the leadership team
  • In partnership with technical leaders on the team and external program teams, ensure RadCAM meets project and service development goals, schedules and requirements
  • Provide general operations support and leadership for the RadCAM team , including HR, budget, organizational planning, career development, etc.
  • Manage the Colorado f ield s ite lease and partnership with M axar real estate and facilities
  • Assist in management of the Colorado University (CU) Space Grant intern program
  • Assist in development of the larger department's talent pipelines in conjunction with Human Resources and Recruiting
  • Assist in developing M axar management practices while executing policy within the team
Minimum requirements for this position:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and willing and able to obtain U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a team leadership role
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an aerospace or technical engineering role or organization
These skills would be amazing:
  • Master's in Business Administration
  • Certif ication in project management Knowledge and experience using the Agile framework for software development
  • Ability to organize and communicate highly technical information in a concise and effective manner to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Broad understanding of satellite operations with a general understanding of commercial satellite imaging systems, navigation and/or aerospace engineering
The compensation range for this position is $102,000 to $170,000 annually, dependent on skills and experience. This position is also eligible for a bonus plan.
