Kelly Technology is looking for experienced Software Engineer for a contract or contract-to-hire role open with well-recognized global biopharma laboratory equipment manufacturing client for its R&D office in Longmont, CO. Title: Software Engineer (C#/Java, SQL, C) Industry: Biotech/Medical Devices Location: Longmont, CO Contract or Contract-to-Hire, 6-12 Months (you choose) Competitive W2 Pay Rate plus Health and 401k Benefits When Hired by Client: Salary + Performance Bonus + Great Healthcare, 401k and PTO Hybrid: 3 days office/2 days homeAbout current Projects: development of next generation software application for complex molecular diagnostic equipment.Job Summary:

  • Gather, analyze and define requirements for new complex software functionality with input from product managers, customer feedback, and internal product Development teams
  • Design, implementation, maintenance, and reworking of new or existing features according to requirements and specifications
  • Write clear, easy to maintain, high quality code that is optimized for performance and memory usage
  • Write comprehensive design, functional, and quality assurance test documentation
  • Resolving issues and defects in the source code
  • Implement automated testing at the unit and nightly regression framework levels
  • Validate correct software and hardware system operation
  • Help technical support team and product Development teams as needed
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES
  • Bachelor degree or Master degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a comparable scientific field
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing commercial software products
  • High-level proficiency in C#.
  • Preferred: Experience with Java
  • Preferred: experience developing hardware applications in C/C , hardware control/interfaces (serial, network, USB),
  • Preferred: Knowledge of one or more of the following - Windows Forms, WCF, WPF (XAML), SQL and database programming, graphical user interface development, memory and performance optimization, data analysis and visualization, and graphing tools
  • Agile software development methodology
  • Preferred: Azure and CI/CD experience
  • Strong, demonstrable, object-oriented and software development skills and ability to work constructively in a team environment
  • Experience in the complete software engineering lifecycle
