We deliver engineered-to-order solutions in a wide range of industries and geographical locations.Partner with the bestAs a Unit Controls Engineer you will cultivate customer relationships and lead engineered solutions to deliver value to our customers. You will develop knowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical control systems for unit operations.As Unit Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing control systems for interface to existing unit operations equipment, and evaluate all system components, requirements, and interactions.
- Ensuring project execution is carried out safely, in order to comply with company health Safety and environmental (HSE) guidelines and procedures.
- Supporting Packaged Systems Engineers in defining and selecting cabinet and controls hardware.
- Reviewing project information to understand scope. This includes schedules, process flows, manuals, commercial documentation, and engineering specs.
- Applying electrical and mechanical engineering principles to analyze, propose, design, test, and troubleshoot turbine control systems.
- Ensuring all products meet quality control standards.
- Designing and understanding technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
- Providing customers with technical direction and support.
- Supporting site commissionings and customer communication both internal and external.
- Troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, control, and process issues on live systems as well as simulations.
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in a "STEM" major (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
- Have extensive experience with turbine controls and/or other industrial processes controls
- Be able to travel up to 15% of the time, as required
- Experience with industrial equipment in Power, Metals, Pulp & Paper, Chemical plants and other rotating machinery
- Ideally have experience with GE gas turbines, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, Siemens
- Ideally have experience with Woodward Controls systems, Allen-Bradley, etc.
- Working remotely from home or any other work location (up to 1 day a week)

- The pay range for this role will be:LPB2
- You will be eligible to participate in the Baker Hughes Fullstream Short-term incentive program applicable for the above position. The actual payout for your short-term incentive award will be based on company and individual performance and is contingent upon Baker Hughes achieving pre-determined financial results.
