Lead Software Engineer

A large technology firm in Colorado is looking to hire a fully remote direct-hire Lead Software Engineer to join their team. This team ultimately supports the development efforts for 5 different product groups, and the lead will be responsible for developing the newest module for the company's primary customer-facing data analytics product. Once this is built, they will be responsible for the design, high level architecture, and technical approach to enhance current modules and continue to develop new modules. This is an Agile team working on 2-week sprints, and the Lead Engineer will be working closely with the IT Project Manager/Scrum Master. This team manages their own software deployments using Docker and Kubernetes to deploy to AWS, but they do have a DevOps group to rely on as a backup resource. The Lead Software Engineer is expected to be a hands-on technical lead engineer with mentorship responsibilities, although as the team grows will evolve into more of a management and strategic role. The team is expected to grow to a team of 3 software engineers + the Lead Engineer within the next couple months.Experience as a technical lead, mentor or manager within software engineering Strong experience in full stack development using React, NodeJS and PostgreSQL (50/50 split ideally) Experience with cloud platforms - AWS (preferred), Google Cloud, or Azure Experience with Cloud Native Technologies or SaaS Products Familiarity with Docker and containerization tools High level understanding of system and software design
