Barista or Dishwasher

There are currently 2-3 barista positions and 1-2 dishwasher positions in high paced, very busy cafe.

This is not the classic coffee bar. The barista will be responsible for prep, line prep, espresso machine, dishes, register, bartending, light table service and cleaning. Appealing food presentation and drink consistency is a must.

Even though this is a very demanding job on the weekends, it can be very rewarding for a person looking to gain skills. We need a level of communication, customer service, teamwork and pride in hard work that will have the potential to make almost $20/hour with tips on the weekend. Experience is preferred although not completely necessary. Since this is also a full tavern, any person hired for barista will need to be at least 21 years old. Rigorous training and attention to detail during training will determine the capability of continuing on through winter and beyond. We offer possible promotion to baking positions as well as some long term benefits.

Dishwashing position is also a bar backing and bussing position.
