Managing Engineer

Go West IT is seeking a talented and solution-focused Managing Engineer to facilitate the success of their team members, ensure that our customers continue to receive the highest quality of service possible as the company expands, and to serve as a senior IT Engineer for key customers and projects.The Managing Engineer will manage and grow a team of 4-6 IT Engineers, ensure that their clients are completely satisfied with the services provided, as well as consult, architect, and implement technical solutions on challenging projects. The goal is to drive service success that guarantees customer satisfaction, maximizes both client and employee retention, and increases profitability.Go West IT is a fast-growing Managed Services Provider delivering comprehensive support solutions to businesses with 10 – 200 users throughout the Colorado Front Range. We do this by listening to our clients, helping them to define their IT needs, then designing and implementing solutions to meet their objectives. For the majority of our customers, we are the IT department and handle everything from ordering PCs to building and maintaining computer networks and provisioning sophisticated cloud services.

• Facilitate collaboration both between your team members and the other Leads

• Serve as the first escalation point for your team members
• Serve as lead IT Engineer for key customers and projects
• Set prioritization and assist with management of customer expectations
• Facilitate development of team member skills through training, mentoring, and shadowing
• Develop an effective ticket review and feedback process with team members to ensure timely entry and billing accuracy
• Set realistic performance expectations of team members
• Provide a high level of operational and managerial support
• Communicate technical fixes or new technical publications to team
• Balance project and service request workload for team members
• Serve as a backup for other technical managers
• Design strategies and ensure that all clients' needs have been tackled successfully
• Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Technical Services

• 2 or 4-year degree or equivalent experience in information systems or similar field, and/or applicable industry certifications
• Minimum of 5 years in a Network Engineer or Systems Engineer IT role
• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial, supervisor, or leadership role
• Authorization to work in the US
• Experience with SQL administration, telephony, Linux, SharePoint, or Azure a plus (but not required)
• Must be able to travel by car to client sites several days per week, loading and unloading equipment up to 30lbs
