IT Administration Specialist Apex Systems is looking for an IT Administration Specialist for one of our large telecommunication clients in Colorado Springs, CO. If interested, please email Mackenzie at mhotan@apexsystems.com with you resume.Description:

  • Competent in supporting enterprise customers and partners in a client systems/workstation environment, including but not limited to desktops, networks, laptops, peripherals, POS systems, and various in store technologies
  • Hardware and Software Management: Online and spare parts inventory control, installation and configuration, management and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with new technology research, testing and pre-purchase evaluations.
  • Assist with system health monitoring, performance analysis, proactive alerting, software upgrades and maintenance, rack space management and warranty repair coordination.
  • Routine system and process monitoring, incident resolution or escalation, outage status tracking and technical library management.
  • Function as a remote liaison to other groups in EIT to assist with project related tasks, reporting and analysis, in-depth troubleshooting of complex IT related incidents, customer relations.
  • Group Policy Administration: Assist with design and implementation of new group policy solutions and continued maintenance.
  • Print Services: Duties include management of Windows print servers and associated print queues.
  • Troubleshooting Skills - Basic level understanding of troubleshooting application (O365, web browsers, end point security), hardware, and OS (Windows, Mac OS, and iOS) issues
  • Client Hardware - Ability to diagnose and repair client hardware to include things such as; desktops, laptops, monitors, mice, point of sale systems, client peripherals, mobile devices, printers, docking stations, etc.
  • Networking - Basic understanding of networking technologies to include TCP/IP, Wireless technologies, patch panels, cabling, etc.
  • Travel and Dispatch - up to 90% local travel (break/fix dispatch) may be required
What does a typical day look like? (daily tasks):
  • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 onsite and remote support to resolve Incidents, Problems, and Requests.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and resolve issues with end user systems, approved software OS and applications, networked, wireless, phones, headsets, and/or printing systems.
  • Implement, replace, and decommission systems. Provide training on new systems as needed.
  • Managing and working through escalations from inside or outside the EUS organization, including resolution documentation and follow up.
Preferred background/prior work experience:
  • 1 Years IT Related Field Experience Priority soft skills: Able to provide excellent customer service skills in person, in writing, and on the phone
  • Resource will be supporting call centers , retail and business offices in the local area.
