Come Make the World With UsGeneral Responsibilityfor Linear Edge EngineerTheProduct Engineerwill be responsible for development of newPower Tool Accessorieswithinlinear edge cutting tool products(Such as Oscillating Multi-Tool blades and Reciprocating Saw blades)and upgrades to existing linear edge cutting tool products using technologies that can be reasonably implemented.Duties:

  • Conduct new product development and improvementto existing productsby working closely with global product team on product design, 3D modeling, testing andcomposition oftechnical documentation.
  • LeadR&D projects to keep the process alignedwith planned timeline, control the project budget, and achieve all the project goals.
  • Prepare feasibility/leanstudy for proposed ideas of new product development, includingcompetitive researchand analysis, product function and features proposal, technical requirements confirmation, project schedule arrangement and budget planning etc.
  • Evaluate product performance by performing hands on testing using standard and custom power tools and procedures.
  • Develop new testing equipment, prototypes, and procedures as needed to evaluate product features and design.
  • Work closely with productionand sourcingteamsduring testing, trial production and mass production phases, define the possible problem root causes and work out solutions quickly,ensure on-time launch of new products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve the product functions, performance, manufacturing process and cost reduction.
  • Collect feedback of market by proactively communicating with customers,salesand service team, to understand customer demands deeply and provide solution quickly.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to supportprojects with global teamfor qualification andlaunch products.
  • Provide technical support, consultation and training tosales teams,customersand other teams asthetechnical expert
  • Track the newest technologies as they potentially apply to cutting tools, and relatedtechnical trends.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or above, major in mechanical engineering related fields.
  • Skillful in least one 3D design software (Creo(Pro/E), CATIAetc).Familiarity withProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM) software such as Windchill a plus.
  • Six sigma, Statistical analysisand design of experiment skills would be helpful.
  • Understanding of cutting tool application and cutting tool material properties.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Creative, logical, open-minded, life-long learner, who issensitive to customer demands and technical trends.
  • GoodEnglish written and oralcommunication skills.Ability to present technical information to wide audience range. Comfortable meeting and interviewing customers in the field.
  • Functions well in a fast paced and demanding environment to develop world class products
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Objective-oriented and committedto goalsand timelines. Has acan-do attitude andadynamic personality.
