SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR (SPT-21-1317-W): Bowhead seeks a Senior Network Engineer/Administrator for a potential forthcoming contract at Peterson SFB Colorado Springs, CO. The 319 CTS operates from the Moorman Space Education and Training Center (SETC) on Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado. The 319 CTS expands space system understanding by providing world-class, in-depth instruction of space systems, capabilities, requirements, acquisition, strategies and policies to support Joint military operations and U.S. National Security. The mission of 319 CTS is to provide responsive training in support of tactical, operational, and strategic joint and coalition space operations. Annually, 319 CTS educates more than 2800 students from all branches of the United States military, other Government departments, and select allied nations. 319 CTS requires specialized instructors and critical support personnel capable of successfully executing the 319 CTS mission. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Information Technology (IT) Support: Manage, operate, sustain, and provide logistical and general support for IT Services. Meet all 319 CTS IT requirements for the entire life-cycle of each IT service to include steady-state day-to-day operations. Provide IT services to the Moorman Space Education and Training Center (SETC) based on the Industry Best Practices framework that allows for high-quality, measurable performance of IT services. Perform all tasks associated with Systems Engineering and IT System Admin and maintenance in support of the following existing and future SETC networks: NIPR, SIPR, SSEL, STSSEL, commercial internet and other IT initiatives as determined by the 319 CTS Commander, and coordinated through the COR. Tasks in support of this requirement include, but are not limited to: o Networks; Servers (physical & virtual unclas, S, TS); Towers/laptops (physical, unclas, S, TS, JWICS); VTCs; Other peripherals (projectors, wyse clients, switches, back-up drives); 6 Networks: NIPR, SSEL (secret closed), STSSEL (Top Secret closed), SIPR, JWICS, and commercial internet; 23 Physical Servers; 310 Virtual Machines; 165 Laptops; 80 Towers; Video Teleconference Systems; 410 Peripherals (projectors, Wyse clients, switches, back-up drives, monitors) Maintain network designs, to include all relevant documentation. Troubleshoot, fix failures, and document them in a maintenance log. Develop reliability system upgrades for 319 CTS Government personnel review. Perform preventative maintenance, which includes but is not limited to installation of: new software releases, system upgrades, and patches. Create/maintain server support documentation and operational guides for instructors and operators. Test and evaluate new network hardware and software to determine compatibility with current systems. Perform equipment reviews, development of technical refresh maintenance requirements and histories, and management and maintenance of hardware inventories. Work closely with vendors and manufactures to facilitate technical refresh upgrades on equipment. Procure technical refresh equipment Maintain a Government provided trouble ticket system and track and report customer survey results. Provide engineering, operations, management, maintenance and general support for SETC networks, stand-alone systems and any specialized systems within or used by SETC. This includes any associated network/backbone/infrastructure hardware/software. Provide IT support for basic development of modeling and simulation capabilities on closed networks. Provide IT support for advanced development of modeling and simulation capabilities (JWICS emulator, ISSA, GIANT, STK modeling and simulation support, PDS-M, SBM trainer, OW mod/sim capability, virtual EW lab, and automated testing software) on closed networks. HTML extraction of gov't directed websites including all resources and code; Create scripts necessary to translate web menus to local hyperlinks; Establish a web application enterprise on the TSSEL closed network; Modify extracted website to utilize Microsoft IIS framework; Implement Microsoft SQL virtual server and integrate into application enterprise to allow for dynamic content; Verify JWICS emulator websites are current 30 days prior to SWIFTU course start and update as necessary; Provide support to transfer documents between networks (NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SETC closed networks) IAW established security policies and procedures. Perform client support administrator duties. Provide consolidated help desk function/serve as SETC IT focal point for customer support. The consolidated help desk function shall be capable of handling the full range of IT-related issues. Provide System and Network Security functions Provide Computer Systems Acquisition, Management and Accountability Requirements • CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional) required • Security Plus (+) Certification required • 3 years of experience with Office, Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec Endpoint Protection Suite, Symantec Ghost, WSUS (Windows Server Update Services), eRetina, WASP (Web Application Security Project), Windows 2003, 2008 and/or 2012 Servers, Windows XP and/or 7 client PCs, Active Directory, and/or DNS (Domain Name System)/DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) • Travel: 10% Education requirements: Bachelors Degree in engineering or information technology Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
