Duties & Responsibilities

Business Information Analyst II/Sr

Location: Remote based.

Hours of Operation: 8:30 am-5:00 pm MST

Business Information Analyst Sr The Business Information Analyst Sr. is responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to complex and varied business metrics. Typically provides technical assistance to lower-level staff. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: • Creates and maintains databases to track business performance. • Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures. • Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies. • Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports. May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools. • May make recommendations based upon data analysis. Business Information Analyst I and/or II are Responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to multiple, varied business metrics. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Business Information Analyst II • Creates and maintains databases to track business performance. • Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures. • Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies. • Creates and publishes periodic reports, makes necessary recommendations, and develops ad hoc reports as needed. • May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools. • This job is more focused on technical expertise and analysis as compared to the Bus Info Analyst I job. Applicable to Colorado Applicants Only Annual Salary Range: $43,848- $88,410.00 Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.

Business Information Analyst Sr • Requires a BS/BA degree in related field; 3-5 years data analysis or related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. • Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required. • Ability to manipulate large sets of data is also preferred. • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills preferred. • This job is focused on complex and varied metrics, making recommendations, and providing assistance to staff as compared to the Bus Info Analyst II job.
