    Deskside Engineer JD
    • Perform IMAC related tasks as assigned (e.g., hardware break/fix and hardware or software upgrades) including data migration
    • Resolve reported incidents in the software & hardware environment
    • Complete assigned tickets in timely manner within the SLAs
    • Update asset tracking inventory in accordance with work instructions
    • Provision and deploy of Laptops/LAN/Desktops/Monitors/Printers/VoIP telephones and other IT related equipment
    • Provide support services for conference rooms
    • Perform customer support related tasks and special projects as assigned by management
    • Liaise as necessary interdepartmentally to seek resolutions to all reported issues
    • Mentor other Deskside Support Technicians as required

    Problem-solving skills – getting many pieces of hardware and software to work in harmony is an ongoing and challenging task.

    Customer service – Communicating well with “customers” helps the engineer resolve outages quickly and build strong working relationships

    Teaching ability – engineers may need to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical colleagues and train them to use software and hardware

    Organization skills – whether keeping cable sprawl to a minimum, documenting their work, or prioritizing requests for support, Desktop engineers need to stay organized to keep on top of their tasks.
