Retail Audience Development Manager

Job Description

This position will support New Hope Network’s retailer audience development and our programs and products that support the retail buyer. This position will specialize in the support of retail buyers and their business needs, the development and coordination of event, content and sponsorship programs that are in service to those needs and driving retailer engagement to the Natural Products Expos and Natural Products Expo Virtual Community platform.

• Assessing retailer needs through internal and external conversations, survey data/responses and other means.
• Clearly communicating needs, user workflows and experiences, and general feedback to teams also responsible for developing products and services to meet the needs of retail buyers.
• Working with Informa centralized services teams, platform and program managers, and technology teams to ensure support systems and technologies/platforms delivers and continues to deliver the desired experience for retailers.
• Working with New Hope’s event management, marketing, sales, content, and sponsorship teams to develop retailer programs and drive engagement to in-person and virtual events.

• Maximize retail buyer participation and engagement in New Hope Network’s Smart Events and Natural Products Expo Virtual Community through understanding buyer needs, effectively developing and planning programs with other internal stakeholders, regularly communicating with retail buyers and partners, organizing and fulfilling on various programs and initiatives.
• Understand the various events within New Hope Network and the most effective channels for retail buyer participation and engagement.

• Identify challenges, trends and strategic opportunities; exploring options, building recommendations and presenting appropriate action outlines.
• Acquire knowledge and build an expertise in the data in our virtual event Platform, and strategically understand how it can be most effectively utilized.
• Possess strong project management skills and the ability to manage and execute projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2-4 years retail sales experience preferred.
• 2-4 years of Natural Products industry experience preferred.
• Understanding, knowledge, and interest in the natural products industry and retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Strong customer service approach.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented, creative and innovative thinker.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Self-starter who knows how to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Existing relationships with key retailers a must.
• Exhibit exceptional internal communication and external customer service skills.
