Job Description

We are seeking a Scrum Master for a full-time/direct hire role in the Denver Tech Center. This permanent role will be located in the Denver Tech Center, and will need to work onsite/ in-office Monday through Friday in a highly collaborative environment (no remote options available).

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead the Daily Scrum and other key ceremonies for Agile Development Teams
  • Be a leader and facilitator of team meetings, decision-making, and maturity
  • Protect and support the scrum process while getting the most out of teams
  • Lead retrospective discussions using both metrics and subjectivity to help continuously improve our team, product, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and innovation
  • Remove internal and external impediments for the team as their servant leader
  • Help mitigate risks and dependencies
  • Actively guide the team to deliver to committed deadlines

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience working in an Agile software development environment, comparable education and experience will be considered
  • At least 1 pertinent Scrum Master Certification
  • At least 2 - 5 years of experience leading Scrum Agile teams
  • At least 2 years of experience solving technical problems
  • Experience serving as Scrum Master for multiple teams
  • Strong communication skills including the capability to interact and work effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Ability to self-motivate and remain focused in the midst of distraction
  • Strong understanding of capturing and interpreting Agile metrics

The following skills/experience will standout for this role:

  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Experience in delivery as a Project Manager / Agile Project Manager is a plus
  • Have experience and a proven track record of delivering team success
  • The ability to motivate and influence a team to drive key outcomes
  • Be able to understand the Why in order to get the team to the How and the What
  • Be driven to succeed and gain mutual understanding from all stakeholders
  • Experience training teams and large groups is a plus

Preferred experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in project management of any kind, e.g. agile, waterfall, and hybrid
  • Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience leading multiple agile teams. Prefer Scrum and Scrum of Scrum experience over other agile frameworks, but knowledge of Kanban is a plus
  • Proven record of successful agile program and project delivery, of building consistent cadence including a collection of performance data and reporting of business-relevant information in ways stakeholders understand, and of collaboration with team members and leadership.
  • Experience in software development and engineering roles is preferred
