Job Description

In your new role, you will be responsible for following:

  • Definition, plan and timely executionof complete FW solutions to support aerial density growth of company’s diverse HDD product portfolio, while meeting product Read/Write performance, reliability and cost targets
  • Own completeFW solution roadmap, planning and execution
    • Full integration of FW solution into products
    • Cross department collaboration for the solutions owned
    • Consistent adjustment of plans basing on ever-changing market conditions and company’s responses to it
    • Long-term architectural vision and plan for the FW solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineering teams as well as higher management
  • Involvement in creation of processes and procedures to ensure high quality of released FW
  • Talent, skills and staffing management
    • Skills gap identification
    • Staffing gap identification and closure
    • Mentoring/training plans

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and10+ years of experience, with more than 5 years experience in a management position
  • Strong leadership and rich experience in technology and product development
  • Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects/features at a time in afast-paced environment
  • Relevant experience in HDD development, Firmware, HW or product architecture to help understand and define next generation products
  • Demonstrated eye for business and critical thinking skills
  • Experienced leading cross-functional teams and working across multiple time zones and locations
