About the roleAs an Allied Health Veteran Services Case Manager (DVA Consultant) you will play a vital role in the provisionof workplace rehabilitation services for our DVA portfolio. You will help tobuild better lives through work and health. As part of the team you'll support people get well and working.As a valued team member, your responsibilities will include:- Undertake specific services and assessments such as; worksite, vocational, functional, ergonomic, equipment, home and job analysis as required.
- Conduct initial assessments and identify barriers and design/implement/monitor programs that assist veterans to achieve goals.
- Identify psychosocial activities in collaboration with the veteran to address psychosocial needs and goals
- Promote and support engagement in medical management of compensable conditions to optimise function.
- Facilitate development of independence in medical management.
- Develop and implement strategies to progress plans.
- Liaise with relevant parties to achieve outcomes appropriate
- Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology or Physiotherapy
- Willingness to travel (A current vehicle and drivers licence compulsory)
- Sound knowledge of DVA files and legislation
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Determination to consistently provide a high level of customer service
- A keen sense of punctuality and the effective ability to manage your time
